About the watch
Omega began producing waterproof watches in 1932 with the 679 Omega Marine model, ensuring waterproofing up to 135 meters thanks to an innovative sealing system. Subsequently, in 1948, the first Seamaster watches were introduced, designed for everyday use resistant to shocks and water splashes. During the 1950s, Omega followed the trend of creating specific watches for purposes and professions, such as diving, racing, engineering, and aviation watches. In 1957, it launched a series of three "Professional" watches dedicated to specific groups of individuals: Seamaster, Speedmaster, and Railmaster. The Seamaster 300, CK 2913, was Omega's first dedicated diving watch, featuring innovative characteristics and water resistance beyond what was officially declared, thanks to advanced technologies not yet measurable at the time.
